Munich. Since 1810, the world-famous Oktoberfest has been taking place from late September until the beginning of October on the Theresienwiese in Munich, Bavaria. It counts as one of the world's largest fairs with around six million visitors every year. On average, each visitor drinks more than one 'Maß' (one liter) of beer, which the breweries brew much spicier and with a higher percentage of alcohol especially for the Oktoberfest.
